Dream your freedom
Each year, as part of their annual projects, our 2nd-year Bachelor’s degree students are tasked with producing an entire fashion magazine. The aim of the evening on 16 May is to showcase all the magazines that have been published, and more importantly to highlight the best designs. Overall, around thirty magazines of varying styles, inspirations and genres will be in the running.
What are the missions of our Fashion & Business students in the 2nd year of the Bachelor's programme?
- Develop an editorial approach and target audience related to the theme selected for the year
- Create a real fashion editorial team within the group by assigning a defined role to each member.
- Create a plan moving forward
- Write editorials, articles, news briefs, surveys and interviews, using different headlines, punchlines and angles
- Develop a network to build and book a photo styling team by approaching a photographer, a photo stylist, a make-up artist and models.
- Lead the artistic direction of one or more editorial shoots.
- Create the layout of the magazine in line with the plan
- Respect the number of pages allocated
- Find a magazine printing company
Presenting the magazine to a jury of fashion industry experts For this end-of-year magazine project for our 2nd year Bachelor’s degree students, EIDM recruited a team of experts already working in fashion editorial to help our students with the process of creating their magazine. Well done to all our Fashion & Business students for their work on Fashion Mag Night 2022!
Learning by Doing
Each year, EIDM students organise a practical project. This may be organising a runway show, creating a magazine, opening a pop-up store, managing an entrepreneurial project, or managing a team. A rewarding vocational experience that focuses on developing creativity, imagination and investment. To be at the top of your game!
